Budtenders are awesome people to know. They're like having a reliable mechanic for your car or a barber that works magic with your hair. They're the type of person that generally make your day good if it was going poorly and great if it was already going well. They have a few things they want you to know about your visit to the dispensary. Below you'll find a few tips that your Budtender want you to know for your next visit to a Colorado Dispensary.

1. DO NOT: Bring Marijuana Across State Lines

  • Your Budtender wants you to have a good time while you are in Colorado. Please don't tell your Budtender you will be leaving the state. They reserve the right to refuse a sale and might actually exercise this right. Marijuana laws are becoming more relaxed across the nation however it still remains illegal in a lot of states. Just come to Denver in the meantime because it's awesome here and you know we got it like that. DO NOT RISK IT!!

2. DO NOT: Purchase Marijuana for Friends

  • The state of Colorado has very strict limits on how much marijuana you are allowed to purchase in a single day. The law states that an individual purchasing marijuana for recreational purposes can purchase an ounce of flower (or up to 8 grams of concentrate) daily. The transaction is accounted for in the Marijuana Enforcement Divisions database. Violation of these limits could lead to legal trouble down the road.

3. DO NOT: Assume the Budtender Gives “Free Samples”

  • Your Budtender wants you to know that they are super friendly however they are not so friendly that they will be able to give you free samples. I asked a local Budtender what a patron would have to do in order to get kicked out of a dispensary. Apparently a former patron of theirs was being shown roughly an eighth of a particular marijuana strain. The former patron picked up the marijuana to examine it AND THEY ATE THE WHOLE NUG!! Do not eat the Budtenders marijuana please.
